A Dress with a Hint of Purple

With the help of a nice older sister and a few trips to Joanns, I was able to make my second regency dress!! Every year Kelle has made a dress for me, but I am getting quite old enough to sew my own. (I actually made one last year, but I won't mention that one because it was the "first time" dress) So, I have a really hard time picking out fabrics. They just all look so good together, that I don't know which one to pick! Thanks to Kelle, she has a very keen eye for fabrics that match you, so she stuck her hand in the wall of fabric and brought out a fabric that was hidden underneath some other bolts. It was a perfect color!! It was a light tan with white and purple flowers. I couldn't believe it!! And it was right when I was about to tell her that I don't see any that I liked, and she found one!! Yay!!  So I am kind of doing this post for my sister, because without her, I don't think I would have found any fabrics or better yet, SEWN it!

Joyfully in Him,

  2. Diana, it's just lovely! (Something to do with the young lady modeling the dress, no doubt!) You did a very nice job sewing it, congratulations!
