{DSP} Project #4: Swimming

I think our family broke the record for "Most People in the Pool"!!! We had 15 people in the pool at one time!!!! We were all doing a whirlpool and it was so strong that the water was coming out over the side!!! I couldn't go against the current. WOW!! But I think that was the BEST DAY EVER!!!!

My Veggie Garden Part 2

My radishes finally are starting to become radishes!!!!! They have never been this red before!!! This year Dad filled all our garden with black dirt!! So I think that is why they are so lush!!! All my other plants haven't really changed except they just got a little bigger!

{DSP} Project #2: Decoupage Notebook

The second project!!! Yay!! I made a journal out of a composition notebook! All you need to start is a composition notebook, Mog Podge, 4 sheets of scrapbook paper.
And then, of course, your decorations. You can use whatever you want on the front and back.
Paint the front of your book with mog podge and place your scrapbook paper on top and smooth out all the air bubbles. Cut your paper so that there is about an inch of the side. Make a crease where the edge of your book is and put glue on the inside of the book where the paper is sticking out.
Fold the paper over the edge and fold the corner. Then, cut a piece of the paper so that it covers the white spot. :)
Cut a piece of your scrapbook paper to fill in all the white and glue in place. Then repeat for the back of the book.
Now it is time to decorate. Be creative! Have fun!!
After you decorate your book, now it's time to put mog podge on every page. It's okay to cover everything in it, it will dry clear. When I made my first I was so scared that it would ruin my book but my friend said that it would be alright. After you paint the front, inside front, back, and inside back, and you let it dry, you are finished!!!! Yay!!

I made two hair pins out of ribbons! They were kind of confusing to do but I made up a few steps of my own! They are really fun!! At fist I thought I was NEVER going to be able to do this but I thought that I shouldn't give this up and I should finish it!!! And I finished it!!! Yay!!

Little Green Things Sticking Out of the Earth

Finally!!! I started my garden!! This year I am doing a vegetable garden. It is such a joy to go out in the afternoon sun and water my fresh green garden! Then, after watering it, I have a satisfying thought that all my hard work in weeding, and watering will pay off with beautiful brightly colored veggies!!! "sigh" :) You cannot really see which plant is which because they are all one color........green. :)

Morning Walks With a Big Suprise

10:30 a.m. Mom, younger brother, and I go for a walk. After our walk, Mom says, "Let's go to this garage sale right around the corner".  This was my first garage sale of the year. As we walk up--me with my great sense of telling whether this garage sale was good or not--quickly scanned the garage. Right before I was going to tell Mom, "I'm finished with this garage sale",  I saw something. It was a mug. But not only just a mug--it was a Crate and Barrel mug! And, it was only a dollar!!!!
On the walk home, I silently admired my NEW Crate and Barrel mug!
